The assessments on career.place are designed to measure the abilities and characteristics necessary for successful performance on the job. Through careful analysis of the job and extensive research into the assessments themselves, career.place has linked what is needed for the job to what is measured by the assessments. Only the assessments measuring at least one of the most important abilities and characteristics are administered to you.
Each assessment measures one or more abilities or characteristics; however, you will only be evaluated on those characteristics that are rated as highly important for the position to which you are applying. There are six assessments in the career.place core catalogue:
Achievement and Performance Inventory
The Achievement and Performance Inventory is a self-report assessment that should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. It measures your drive to achieve high levels of performance on the job. There are no right or wrong answers on this assessment and should be answered honestly and accurately.
Aptitude and Abilities Inventory
The Aptitude and Abilities Inventory is a self-report assessment that should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. It measures your ability to solve puzzles and logic problems using processes that can be generalized to the workplace. There is a correct answer to each question, so you should do your best on this assessment.
Behavioral and Characteristics Inventory
The Behavioral and Characteristics Inventory is a self-report assessment that should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. It measures a broad spectrum of characteristics that are organized into six areas: agreeableness, ambition, conscientiousness, extraversion, openness to experiences, and stress tolerance. There are no right or wrong answers on this assessment and should be answered honestly and accurately.
Diligence and Determination Inventory
The Diligence and Determination Inventory is a self-report assessment that should take approximately 5 minutes to complete. It measures your diligence and determination in completing work tasks. There are no right or wrong answers on this assessment and should be answered honestly and accurately.
Principles and Ethics Inventory
The Principles and Ethics Inventory is a self-report assessment that should take approximately 5 minutes to complete. It measures how your principles and ethics might apply to the workplace. There are no right or wrong answers on this assessment and should be answered honestly and accurately.
Service and Teamwork Inventory
The Service and Teamwork Inventory is a self-report assessment that should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. It measures two primary characteristics of work behavior: your orientation towards customer service activities and your orientation towards teamwork activities. There are no right or wrong answers on this assessment and should be answered honestly and accurately.
