Connecting career.place to Jobvite
Configuring this integration will require admin access to both career.place and Jobvite. The integration involves these 3 steps
- Obtain a Jobvite API Key and Secret Code
- Create Workflow and Custom Fields in Jobvite
- Connect career.place to Jobvite
1. Jobvite Api Key and Secret Code
Contact your Jobvite Account Manager and explain you are connecting your Jobvite instance to career.place. They will coordinate a request and deliver back to you 2 values required for the integration.
- Jobvite API Key
- Jobvite Secret Key
Save these values in a secure place. You will need them to connect career.place to Jobvite in the last step of these instructions.
2. Create Workflow and Custom Fields in Jobvite
- Log in to Jobvite as an Admin
- Jobs in Jobvite that will use career.place are required to use a Workflow that contain the following 3 states (CP-Sent, CP-Qual and CP-Unqual). Under the Admin menu, go to the ATS section to view/edit Workflows. These states can be added to any existing Workflow or created as part of a new Workflow.
These stages should follow directly after the New state in the Workflow and look as such. - Under the Admin menu, go to the Configurations section to access the Custom Fields. Then click on the Candidate tab.
- Two new Custom Fields need to be added.
CP Status: (Type: Text)
CP Status Link: (Type: Hyperlink)
Click the Add Custom Field button to add the first new field as such.
Add the next field. Be sure to specify that it is a Hyperlink type field and add "career.place" as a Whitelisted Domain Name. - On the Custom Field list, these 2 new Custom Field should have the checkboxes off as follows.
3. Connect career.place to Jobvite
- Log into career.place and go to the settings section
- Click the Integrations tab
- Scroll down to the Jobvite section and paste in the Jobvite API Key and Secret Code you received from Jobvite support.
- Click Connect to finalize the integration
Clicking Connect will check that the 2 Custom Fields exist in Jobvite. The connection will fail if these fields do not exist.
