Jobvite Integration: Configuring Jobs and Managing Candidates

In this article, you will learn how to connect a career.place qualification funnel to a job in Jobvite and understand how candidates are managed. Be sure the integration setup is complete prior to using this integration.

Connecting a Jobvite job to a career.place qualification funnel

Note: In career.place, qualification funnels are simply called "Jobs"

1. Create a job in Jobvite as you normally do. Be sure to use a Workflow that contains the 3 states required (CP-Sent, CP-Qual and CP-Unqual)
2. Create a job in career.place (here is a quick start guide)
3. On the career.place job detail screen, on the left hand menu, click Integration then Jobvite
   
   
   
   
4. Select the Jobvite job to integrate this career.place job to
   
   
   If the selected job does not contain the proper Workflow with the 3 states indicated above, the connection will fail.
   
   
5. After the job is selected, any candidate that applies to the Jobvite job and in the New state of the Workflow will be invited into the career.place qualification funnel that was just setup.

Managing Candidates

Career.Place manages candidates in Jobvite through the Custom Fields and the Workflow.

Custom Fields

The 2 Custom Fields are found in the Application Details section of the Candidate screen

CP Details Link: Once a candidate starts their qualification process in career.place, a link is store din this field which will give you details as to where they are in the career.place job funnel process.

CP Status: Stores the status of the candidate in career.place

• In Progress - candidate is still in progress completing their part or their submission is under review by the members of the Job Team.
• Opted Out - candidate has chosen to opt out of the job or has ignored their application for more than 2-1/2 weeks.
• Qualified - candidate has qualified and will have progressed to the CP-Qual state of the Workflow.
• Unqualified - candidate disqualified; the reason why they disqualified is appended in this field.

Workflow States

Career.Place will control the candidate's progression through the Workflow states.

• New - First state of the Workflow where career.place looks for new candidates applying.
• CP-Sent - After a candidate has been invited to continue through the career.place qualification funnel, the candidate is automatically moved to this state in the Workflow.
• CP-Qual - When a candidate qualifies, they are moved automatically to this state. The Jobvite user will be responsible to move the candidate to the appropriate next step of the Workflow.
• CP-Unqual - When a candidate disqualifies, they are moved automatically to this state. The Jobvite user will be responsible to move the candidate to the appropriate rejection state for any candidates that have been disqualified.
