The heart of the career.place solution is the hiring funnel. You can think of it as a sales funnel where leads are qualified till they close. In our case, we are qualifying candidates to get you to your shortlist so you can “close” on the best fit for your organization. The hiring funnel consists of 3 stages.
- Qualify Stage (or Stage 1) – this is an automated stage where candidate will get a chance to make sure their needs and requirements are a match for the company. The candidate will be asked to confirm they meet the basic needs of the job, take an optional skills quiz to ensure they know critical hard skills required by the job and also take assessments to ensure they have the foundational soft skills needed to perform this job successfully for your organization.
- Homework Stage (or Stage 2) – This is where candidates get to show you (rather than tell you) they can perform the job. In this stage you define job-specific homework assignments of actual job scenarios to see how the candidates would respond or handle those situations.
- Interview Stage (or Stage 3) – This is where you can check for culture & fit. In this stage you can ask the candidate questions that will help you see how the candidate will fit in with the culture and team setting you have in place. Candidates will record themselves using video to answer these questions. We provide excellent guidance here in terms of the types of questions to ask as well as what to look for in answers.
