Stage 1, or the Criteria stage, is the starting point for any candidate applying to your jobs. The below screenshot shows you a series of tiles, each representing a category of basic qualifications that you can optionally set for each job.
Here is a brief explanation of each tile.
Ask the candidate if they have or agree to the basic requirements of the job, such as having a driver's license or be willing to submit to a background check.
Do you require the candidate to have a certain degree and/or certification, such as a CPA? Define them here.
Where is the job located? We'll make sure the candidate understands this and is willing to work there. Or, if it's a telecommute job, we'll confirm that as well.
If the job requires a certain amount of travel, lets make sure the applicants understand and are willing to do that. Don't waste time if there isn't alignment.
Specify language (and proficiency levels) the candidates are required to speak and understand.
If the candidate's compensation expectations are way out of line, they will not progress in the hiring process. Compensation is never shared with the candidates; rather, we ask the candidate for their expectations and, if they are not aligned, we will disqualify the candidate immediately.
Specify the hard skills the candidate is expected to have on Day 1 when starting the job. Do not specify skills that the candidate will learn while on the job.
Test the candidate's knowledge on hard skills. Quizzes can be timed and passing scores can be set.
