No resume!
Yes, you heard that right. We start with the job and focusing on what it will take for a candidate to be successful in the role to be filled.
The heart of the career.place solution is the hiring funnel. You can think of it as a sales funnel where leads are qualified till they close. In our case, we are qualifying candidates to get you to your shortlist so you can “close” on the best fit for your organization. The hiring funnel consists of 4 stages (all optional).
- Criteria Stage (or Stage 1) – this is an automated stage where candidate will get a chance to make sure their needs and requirements are a match for the company. The candidate will be asked to confirm they meet the basic needs/requirements of the job and take an optional quiz to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required by the job.
- Assessment Stage (or Stage 2) – this is also an automated stage where candidate will in real-time take assessments (psychometrics) to ensure they have the minimum level of soft skills (or traits) needed to perform this job for your organization
- Homework Stage (or Stage 3) – This is where candidates get to show you (rather than tell you) they can perform the job. In this stage you define job-specific homework assignments of actual job scenarios, behavioral question or tasks. Candidates answer these questions and your hiring team will be able to review, and rate these responses. Only candidates showing that their answers are a good fit for your organization will progress through.
- Interview Stage (or Stage 4) – This is where you can check for culture & fit. In this stage you can ask the candidate questions that will help you see how the candidate will fit in with the culture and team setting you have in place. Candidates will record themselves using video or audio-only to answer these questions. Like with the Homework stage, you and your team will be able to review and rate the responses and progress the candidates showing a good fit. We provide excellent guidance here in terms of the types of questions to ask as well as what to look for in answers.
