Greenhouse Assessment Workflow Integration: Auto-advance setup

When using career.place to anonymously screen candidates, you have the option for career.place to automatically advance Qualified candidates to the next stage in the Greenhouse Interview Plan. This saves recruiters the extra step of having to manually query for the Qualified candidates in Greenhouse to advance.

NOTE: It is important that the next stage in the Greenhouse Interview Plan is an appropriate stage to auto-advance a Qualified candidate to. All career.place is doing is advancing to whatever the next stage is as defined in the job's Interview Plan. Be sure there is no unintended automation in that stage when using this feature.

This setup requires a career.place Organization Admin and a Greenhouse Site Admin to perform the below steps.

1. Login as a Greenhouse Site Admin and create a Harvest API Key.
   Under setup, click Dev Center and then API Credential Management
   
   
2. Click Create New API Key and specify the following 2 values in the pop-up window
   
   
   and click Create.
   
   
3. On the next page, be sure to select the following permissions in the Applications, Jobs and Users sections
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   And click the Update button at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
4. You will see the newly created Harvest API Key. Click the Copy button and save off the API Key where you can access later.
5. Next, you will need to copy a User Id from Greenhouse that will be used as the user to perform the auto-advance of candidates
6. Under settings, click Users
7. Click on any user to view their detail screen (NOTE: this is typically a recruiter user or a Greenhouse Admin user)
8. When viewing the user detail screen, copy the user id from the browser URL line and save off where you can access later.
   
   
   
9. Log into career.place as an Organization Admin
10. Click on Organization Settings and then click on the Integrations tab
11. Scroll down till you see the Greenhouse section and paste in the API Key and the User Id
    
    
    
    Then click Connect Greenhouse Account
    
    
12. After connecting, be sure the Auto-advance switch is turned on
    
    

The setup is complete. Going forward, all Qualified candidates in career.place will automatically advance to the next stage of the Interview Plan in Greenhouse.
