Greenhouse Integration: Initial Setup

Introduction to the Greenhouse Integration

Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with career.place allows you to seamlessly add career.place’s anonymous candidate screening process to a job's interview plan. These instructions cover the initial setup required for the integration. Career.Place offers two types of integrations into Greenhouse.

1. Assessment Workflow
2. Application Workflow

The main difference between the two is that the Application Workflow automates the transfer of candidates to career.place after they apply inside Greenhouse. The Assessment Workflow is manual meaning the Recruiter will decided when to send groups of new candidates to career.place for their evaluation. It is up to each organization which type of integration to use and it can be changed from one to the other anytime.

Regardless of which integration an organization wishes to use, they both start with this first step in the setup. Have Greenhouse recognize career.place.

Greenhouse Initial Setup

This setup applies to both the Assessment and Application Workflows.

1. Start by contacting Greenhouse support and request that you'd like to add the "Career.Place" as an integration. Click here to open a ticket with Greenhouse.
2. The Greenhouse Support Team will respond within a day or two with a SendSafely link for you to enter your career.place "API key".
3. To get your "API key", log into career.place by going to https://app.career.place, go to your Organization Settings (top menu) and click the Integrations tab.
   
   
   

   Scroll down until you find the Greenhouse section and copy the entire API key.
   
   

   Note: Never send an API key in an email. API Keys allow access to sensitive data and must be kept secret. If an API Key is shared in an email and your email is intercepted by a malicious third party or your email account is hacked, the hacker would be able to view and access your API Key. For this reason, we require API Keys to be shared securely using SendSafely, Greenhouse’s secure data transfer platform.

4. Open the Greenhouse SendSafely link and paste in your API key. A notification will be sent to the Greenhouse Support Team after you have entered your API key and they will email you to confirm that your API key has been set up in your account and your integration is enabled.
